World Environment Day 2022
On 5 June 2022, in observance of World Environment Day, Zub Zub India collaborated with the Forestry Graduates Association of Nagaland and the Department of School Education to conduct a cleanliness and environmental awareness drive in Kohima main town. The programme aligned with the World Environment Day 2022 theme, "Only One Earth," which emphasized sustainable living in harmony with nature and collective responsibility for environmental protection.
Programme flow
Participants assembled at the Local Ground, where a briefing session was conducted before the start of the activity. Zub Zub India coordinated the instructions, outlining the objectives of the cleanliness drive and the importance of community participation. Following the briefing, volunteers, students, and representatives moved into Kohima main town to carry out the cleaning and awareness drive.
Participants engaged in:
Cleaning public spaces
Collecting scattered waste
Interacting with residents and passersby
Promoting responsible disposal practices
After completing the activity, all participants regrouped at the Local Ground. A short interaction session was held, followed by light refreshments. Representatives from the Forestry Graduates Association of Nagaland addressed the participants and spoke on the significance of the "Only One Earth" theme, highlighting the importance of sustainable practices and environmental responsibility. The programme concluded with the dispersal of participants.
